Southampton’s Carlos Alcaraz is wanted by Juventus who hope to sign him before the transfer window closes.

He was signed by Southampton after they got information via the Transfer Room website – speed dating for clubs doing transfers.

Now he’s hoping the Saints agree on Juve’s offer and that they let him go on Wednesday.

The Italian side are offering a loan with option to buy at around £38million. The Argentine cost Southampton £12m from Racing Club in 2023.

Alcaraz signed for Southampton from Racing Club last year and he has gone on to score eight goals in 47 appearances for the club.

Sky Sports Italia have reported that the player has ‘already promised himself to the Bianconeri’ and there is confidence of closing the deal.

It’s said the player will be in Turin today to complete his medical.

The other midfielders that have reportedly been considered by Juventus are Giacomo Bonaventura and Roberto Pereyra, whose contracts with Fiorentina and Udinese are expiring respectively.
