Investigators found numerous prescription bottles and cans of electronic duster at the scene of the performer’s death.

The Los Angeles County medical examiner-coroner’s office later revealed that the songwriter had drowned in his bathtub and ruled that the incident was accidental, according to Deadline.

An album of Carter’s work, entitled Blacklisted, was released two days after his passing, although it was later removed from streaming services.
