After that, she took a break from acting to focus on her education but returned to the screen in the early 2000s.
In 2002, she played in the comedy film “The Banger Sisters,” starring Susan Sarandon and herself, where she played Ginger Kingsley. She was cast as Cassandra Edelstein in the 2004 American teen comedy-drama film, “Saved!” and it was Amurri’s major breakthrough in her career.
