Megan McKenna says her pregnancy has been a 'rollercoaster' and she's been 'really unwell' as she reveals if they are planning on finding out the gender

Megan McKenna has admitted her pregnancy has been a ‘rollercoaster’ as she has been ‘really unwell’.

The former TOWIE star, 31, took to Instagram on Friday with her footballer fiancé Oliver Burke, 26, to announce she won’t be doing a gender reveal.

Speaking to her 2.7million followers, Megan said she won’t be making the trendy announcement because ‘you never get surprises in like quite like that’.

The couple said they are excited to go through the pregnancy, but the journey has not been smooth sailing.

In the sweet video, she said: ‘I have been eating my three meals a day because before, I would just eat a huge dinner and snack through the day. I know that is not good for the baby.’

‘I have been really unwell and stuff. It’s been a rollercoaster. But it all turned out okay,’ she added.

Cradling her blossoming bump while cooking a chicken and vegetable soup, the TV personality said they are very excited about the pregnancy and are glad they no longer have to keep their baby a secret.

Megan said they will not be partaking in the trendy ritual of a gender reveal because they believe there are seldom surprises quite like the one of a baby.

She said: ‘We are so excited, but we have decided that we are not going to do a gender reveal. We are going to wait and be surprised because I think you never get surprises in life quite like that.’

Megan announced she was pregnant with her first child on Thursday.

She wrote alongside photos of the ultrasound: ‘A little bit of you & a little bit of me… now we’re a family ♥️.’

Megan showed off her baby bump in parts of the clip as she posed in a dressing gown, while other moments showed her holding up her scan.

She penned in the caption: ‘A little bit of you & a little bit of me… now we’re a family ♥️’

She also shared the moment her and Birmingham City player Oliver discovered she was expecting after she had taken a test.

Another sweet moment showed Oliver hugging her and touching her bump as they stood in front of a mirror.

Her friends were quick to congratulate her in the comments as Love Island’s Liberty Poole penned: ‘Congrats beautiful so excited for you !!!’

Lottie Tomlinson wrote: ‘Awwwww congratulations’, while Wayne Lineker joked: ‘Congrats guys. Guess we won’t be seeing you at ocean this year then Megs.’

Last June Megan announced the news that she was engaged to Oliver after just five months together.

The pair have gone from strength to strength since they were first spotted together in February of that year, and after a romantic getaway to Montenegro, Megan revealed they’d taken things to the next level.

Sharing a video montage of their holiday, she penned: ‘YES YES YES a thousand times YES. You have opened up a world I never thought was possible.

The adorable video showed Megan being surprised by Oliver as he got down on one knee after enjoying a romantic boat trip to a secluded location in the Balkan country.

Oliver responded to the sweet post by commenting: ‘I promise to love you for the rest of my life. I can’t wait to grow old with you my wife to be.
